The actual title of this release is... There is no title... It's "The 4th Untitled Album" (AHhhhh, a pardox... So there IS a title)... Page was fed up with the negative criticism, and them being targeted as "All Hype", so his rationale was to put out an album with no information on it and let the music stand on its own... Atlantic said he was committing "commercial suicide"... Anyway their contract stipulated that they had creative control over the music and packaging so Atlantic had to release it to Page's wishes... The album is quite stellar and Page has said this is his favorite... Also, Atlantic thought for sure "Stairway" would be released as a single, yet P. Grant said "No"... If people wanted "Stairway" they'd have to buy the album, so the album sold as if it was a single (Clever)... A+

Best LP ever! We did not know the title - in college called it "Sticks" due to the guy on front. Each song is creative, unique and powerful. Wow - Oh and "Goin' to California" - sweet melancholy and just fine.
