Trilogy came as a surprise to many Malmsteen fans. Moving keyboards to a more prominent position in the mix and pushing Yngwie's shredding towards the middle of the mix gave most of the album a more straight head rock vibe. I love guitar talent, but I can only take so much shredding. I guess this is why I found myself enjoying Trilogy more than some of the more technical albums. Forget this is Yngwie when listening and you may just find yourself liking it more than a little.
