HMHB are probably the best band in Britain, but it makes sense for it to be kept a secret. It's unlikely to appeal to girls, but if you are the type of bloke that likes to sit on the bog and read a paper, get pissed off with the general public, and be annoyed by celebrity culture and people that are slightly self-obsessed then give them a whirl. Actually the phrase "give it a whirl" is just the sort of phrase that would be targetted by the maestro that is Sir Nigel of Blackwell. It is difficult to either summarise or pigeon-hole this band, and listening to the latest offering will only tell a small tale amongst a myriad of fables. All albums are worthy of note, but if this appeals, then please listen to a couple of the others. For those that have previously heard HMHB, this won't go down as the best, or worst, but there are some terrific lyrics and music. This is raw, relentless, harmonic, Northern folk blues/rock if you want to categorise. But someone will probably tell me otherwise
