Outstanding musical compilation with beautiful layers of sounds and samples woven and intertwined in a way that is almost dream-like. Wally has simply outdone himself with this LP...Making Mirrors. I continue to hear a lot of "early" Peter Gabriel, Depeche Mode and New Order, and definitely an instance or two that takes me back to The Cure's "Disintegration" and NINs Pretty Hate Machine. Oh and, hands-downthe influence of Squeeze with his I Feel Better.

Beyond all of these influences that I can only assume Wally has had growing-up (and his other band that he sings/plays drums with..."The Basics"), I am truly amazed with this latest musical masterpiece. It's nice to see that some musicians can still put out albums without sacrificing their creativity integrity in order to just sell records. Plus, I love that the art of sampling is still alive and well with artists like Gotye (Wally). Not just within the realm of Hip Hop. It's great to see some of the old sounds and techniques from some of the "Industrial Rock" gods still being used today. So cool...

I love this albumon my Top 5 for 2011-2012, no doubt!
