However, anyone who dismissed her early, trendy lo-fi offerings probably would’ve found it difficult to hold their nose when they heard “Bags.” Internet users have practically already christened it a modern indie-pop classic, and it wasn’t just the “indie gays”—it’s sincerely the most wistful song of 2019 and a perfect encapsulation of romantic tension and cautious vulnerability.
