To get every confusion out of the way; first two things. This album is the re-issue of the album The Death Of A Dictionary, the first and only album of Public Affection as the group would rebaptise itself into Live. Originally the album was only issued on Cassette and unfortunately this is still audible on the re-issue. But let this not be a break to buy the album; certainly not to new or even long time Live fans. This is Live in embryo. All that Live made afterwards you can find it here in a somewhat not complete mature way. And now the weirdest. While listening to the album on every song I got the feeling this reminds me of something. So I went through the complete collection of Live to find the connections. No, I'm not going to do the exercise for you, because I would privy you from (re-) discovering the growth of the band. I think after this you'll come to the same conclusion as me: That's Live (read The Death Of A Dictionary) is a cornerstone for what Live will become and thus despite of some of a bit poorer quality a must-have album.
